In the Middle of Manure

My hands were deep into the pile of manure.
Moving it to a bucket, and then spreading it on the newly tilled ground.

This powerfull composted pile of fertilizer!

Mom, do you think you should be wearing gloves?”

Oh yea, I was not thinking. I went inside, washed my hands, and realized that something so powerfully good, can still make you sick too. We learn to treat this power with respect.

It's no different with the choices we make.

Spiritual compost is made up of the things we add to our "pile".
Will those items be used to cultivate life in those around us? Possibly, but only if we handle them with care.

The Choices We Make

Panic rather than Peace

Fear rather than Faith

Defending rather than Deferring

Speaking rather than Silencing

Categorizing rather than Covering

Recalling rather than Releasing

Crisis rather than Calm

Worrying rather than Worshiping

Hindering rather than Helping

Running rather than Resting

Blaming rather than Believing

Soulish rather than Spiritual

Carnal rather than Christ-like

For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Gal. 6:8-9

. "Sow a thought, reap an act; sow an act, reap a habit; sow a habit, reap a character; sow a character, reap a destiny."~Author Unknown

Life is made up of little things. It is very rarely that an occasion is offered for doing a great deal at once. True greatness consists in being great in little things.~Leaves of Gold
