So...we only have a little...
Just five loaves and a few fish
-it's simply impossible!
The Disciples Despaired
because they did the Calculations.
They Compared the need to their
own resources.
They were anxious
This would never work!
He knew the numbers,
but He also knew the Father!
Jesus Prepared to see
His Father Glorified...
And gave thanks.
He lifted up what was given
and Blessed His Father for it
-and little became abundance by faith
Despairing usually comes
from comparing.
Anxiousness usually comes
from calculating.
Blessing God for what we have,
may not always
turn bread and fish into more,
but it will multiply His love
and peace in our own hearts.
It will also increase our faith.
And when this happens,
we will have fresh bread
to give to others,
the kind that comes from heaven.
"Faith sees the invisible, believes the unbelievable, and receives the impossible." ~Corrie Ten Boom
"The most obvious lesson in Christ's teaching is that there is no happiness in having or getting anything, but only in giving." ~Henry Drummond
