Contentment and Godliness
are traveling companions.
You can't separate these two.
You can't have one without the other...
If they are separated...
Contentment will settle for little,
(like the man who buried his talent)
Godliness will boast of nothing
(all form, but no power)
Together, they are great gain.
There is great gain because they have
ONE Vision.
The hope of glory, found in the face of Christ.
This is why,
in whatever circumstance
in whatever circumstance
you find them,
they STAY on the road,
and keep walking.
and keep walking.
Struggles, Storms, Stresses...
do not slow their pace.
They are on a mission
do not slow their pace.
They are on a mission
that is more important
than their own comfort.
than their own comfort.
When we fail to see their connection,
we complain, and
we complain, and
like the rest of the world,
live roller coaster
live roller coaster
(ie up and down)
lives.
"True contentment is a real, even an active, virtue---not only affirmative but creative. It is the power of getting out of any situation all there is in it." ~G.K. Chesterton
