Anna is very tackle. And as she gets older, I have noticed her desire to have control in her preferences. But I have also seen, her ability to adapt, when her environment changes. Like during her bath times, she likes the water's flow to trickle, just right. Our new tub controls, do not allow this. At first, she would get in, not have her way, and then get out! But she loves her times in the tub, too much. She has learned to adapt, and I have learned sometimes we see best, our own control issues or lack of patience, when change happens. Learning to adapt to things out of our comfort zones, is called growing in patience. If we refuse this, these "control issues" will keep us in a state of frustration, and stunt our spiritual growth.
“Have patience with all things, but chiefly have patience with yourself. Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections, but instantly see about remedying them—every day begin the task anew--” St. Francis De Sales
"Though my natural instinct is to wish for a life free of pain, trouble and adversity. I am learning to welcome anything that makes me conscience of my need for HIM. If prayer is birthed out of desperation than anything that makes me desperate for God is a blessing."~Nancy Leigh Demoss
