Blessed are those who...

Accept...for they shall receive insight into the "light and momentary affliction" of this life. 2 Cor. 4:16 - 18

When your children become older and more active, celebrating a birthday on the actual day, is a rare event.  This happened with Anna, two weeks after her birth date.  Some of us, sat down together.

It was Joseph's prayer, that made my heart stop and listen (especially the first part), "Lord, thank you that Anna has been a blessing every single day of her whole life..."

Acceptance is like the anchoring of a telescope.  It helps still the heart so the eyes can see the heavens.

Heaven does not concern itself with the same measuring sticks that we do.

We measure fire (trials)
God makes Gold, from them.

A Blessed Life has nothing to do with what we have, but how we Hold what we have, in view of Eternity.

And the weight of gold we see (with spiritual eyes) there, makes even the most difficult events, "light and momentary..."

Yes, I can pray with my son, Anna's been a blessing to us, every....day...of...her...life.  Acceptance has anchored me in, and the view is Majestic!

Still is.

To LIFE!

Anna turns 23 years old.

"For which cause we faint not, but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction , which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”2 Cor.4:16 - 18

  1. Hello Sister Dina, What a blessing (and truth) this article is! I feel like I am finally beginning to understand what it truly means to be content: to embrace the moment--whether it is calm, or more often chaotic :) --and truly learn to live in joy and peace. So thankful for God's continued teaching and patience. Anyway, I received your phone message ... not sure of your email address or if you had a call-back number, so hopefully you will see this message. :) We are sorry to miss you this trip, but we pray for you often. Love, Jackie
