As dawn breaks light begins to make things more visible and DIFFERENCES in perspective generally resolve themselves.
However, DEFIANCE is not lack of clarity but a stubborn idolatry of self-will. The defiant man does not like what he clearly can see and refuses to humble himself. This is why God resists the pride of but gives grace to those who
struggle with the DIFFERENCES in the spirit of humility.
God sees the difference between someone who is hesitant and someone who is hard. He will not oppose a man who is trying to decide which way is right, but He will stand against the man who has fully made up his mind to please himself despite being wrong.
Proud men refuse to humble themselves and admit they were wrong. Humble men are wrong too at times, but when they SEE IT, they turn around. Proud men see it and stand their ground in DEFIANCE! God does not judge men for being DUMB and making bad choices, but He will condemn all men who have been told what is wrong and DEFIANTLY refuse to be corrected. The difference between stubbornness and brokenness is the differnce in receiving a curse or a blessing.~Am
"Pride is to character, like the attic to the house--the highest part, and generally the most empty." ~Sydney Howard Gay
"The tests of
life are to make, not break us. Trouble may demolish a man's
business but build up his character. The blow at the outward man may
be the greatest blessing to the inner man. If God, then, puts or
permits anything hard in our lives, be sure that the real peril, the
real trouble, is that we shall lose if we flinch or rebel." ~Maltbie
