Providential Places of His Presence

“Walk about Zion, and go round about her, number her towers (her lofty and noble deeds of past days). Consider well her ramparts, go through her palaces
and citadels, that you may tell the next generation (and cease recalling disappointments). For this God is our God forever and ever.” Ps. 48:12-14 Ampl.

When we come to understand the Providential Places of His Presence with us, we cease recalling disappointments.

This is only true when we realize HE has placed us where we are, not other men.

It was noted of the three young men, as they came from the fire, that their bindings were gone, no harm was upon them, and that they did not even smell of smoke.

Deliverance IN our Fires always gives the testimony of how GOOD even the hardest times have been.

It is in the midst of those times that we learn to turn our eyes away from what “men have done”, and learn to see HIS purposes for US.

There we receive the greatest revelation of all -

HE IS WITH US - we will not fall.

Coming to this place, fires will bring out the sweet aroma of Christ.  We will not come out of them smelling like smoke, but seeing HIM more clearly.

"To know that nothing hurts the godly, is a matter of comfort; but to be assured that all things which fall out shall co-operate for their good, that their crosses shall be turned into blessings, that showers of affliction water the withering root of their grace and make it flourish more; this may fill their hearts with joy till they run over.” ~Thomas Watson

“As the wicked are hurt by the best things, so the godly are bettered by the worst.”~William Jenkyn

  1. "The greatest Christians in history seem to say that their sufferings ended up bringing them the closest to God - so this is the best thing that could happen, not the worst."
