I saw it...

I went by the field of the lazy man, and by the vineyard of the man devoid of understanding; and there it was, all overgrown with thorns. Its surface was covered with nettles; its stone wall was broken down. When I saw it, I considered it well; I looked on it and received instruction: A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest; so shall your poverty come like a prowler, and your need like an armed man.”
Proverbs 25: 30-34

One thing I noticed in these words of wisdom, they did not say “I talked about it” It just was not there. Observation of mind and heart were all that was needed, and then the receiving of insight that would change the one looking. Amazing what sight and mind can do without the help of the tongue! Hope also helps us to see the clearer picture of what He can do in our lives. The seed that fell on the soil where thorns and weeds grew up with it, were chocked out by the cares of this life, and riches. Two things that involve the eyes and mind, and cause us to not press on, but instead produce a lazy spirit.

Can't is a coward, too lazy to work.”

Hope is a vigorous principle; it sets the head and heart to work and animates a man to do his utmost.” ~Jeremy Collier
