The Covenant of Looking Unto

I will guide you with my eyes”

When the children were younger, and we were in a place where it was not easy to talk or speak directly to them,
they would look to their Daddy's eyes.

His eyes would answer their questions.

Sometimes his eyes would say, “Stop acting up and pay closer attention.”

Sometimes his eyes would say, "It's going to be okay, just hold out."

Sometimes, when they did not see his eyes or mine, they would be sneaky, thinking they could get away with something.

They forgot about the ONE who's eyes were always looking.  Time would teach them the value and safety of the Covenant of Looking Unto.

There is something powerful about the covenant of looking unto Him. It brings our wondering thoughts under His eternal gaze, and brings a clearer perspective, sometimes a profound and refreshing simplicity.

Psalms 23 The Lord is My Shepherd
