When God Takes...

How do I respond to this taking?

Acceptance leads to REST, 

but Resistance leads to Anxiety.

Surrenders is the Gate, 

when I pass through here...

I've given up something

 (ie concepts, expectations, dreams) 

and most of these things

 pertain to this life....

then I remember, 

why I was made 

in the first place...

to Glorify HIM.

"If then you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.  Set your mind (affections) on things above, not on the things that are on the earth.  For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God." Col 3:1-3

What will I learn from this taking?

That this earth's goods, are passing, but His unseen eternal lessons, are the weight of gold that will last.

Its not that I value this life less, but I realize that life is temporary.  Moments are taken...gone in a flash!  My children were born yesterday...today they are gone (except Anna:).  What will I focus on...what has passed, or what I have IN THIS MOMENT!  

Let His Peace and Grace 

cover each moment

 I have left,

 so I can receive 

ALL He longs to give NOW.

He takes...because IT WAS HIS to take.  I own nothing HERE.

"Therefore, we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying yet our inner man is being renewed day by day.  For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look at the things which are not seen:  for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal."  2 Cor. 4:16-18

What Does He GIVE?

He gives....HIMSELF.  Isn't that enough?
