Words or Worshiper?

We must be careful not to lose sight of Who we believe in by

getting caught up in What we are doing.

There is a vast difference in knowing Something

and experiencing Someone intimately.

Do we simply have the right Words

or are we a true Worshiper?

What are the marks of those who are true worshipers?

They are those gazing intently upon the face of

Jesus, focusing upon the glory of God being seen in

Him. These are the ones being transformed into

the very same image from glory to glory. This

transformation will then be seen by all those in

our life who know us well.

Worshipers are always the most dynamic

witnesses because their testimonies are not

mere theories but living demonstrations of the

work of the Spirit of God in a life.

This is what really amazes men about those who are

filled with the Spirit of Jesus. It's not really words

that attract them; instead, men are drawn to see is what

has taken place in a life that has been transformed

before their eyes. They are captivated by the visible fruit

of righteousness produced by the abiding worshiper

and it results in men glorifying the Father.

May we become so transformed in worshiping the Father

and His Son that men begin to look in the same direction

that they can see we are gazing. There they will see what

has so captured our hearts and it will likely capture their own

as well. ~Alan

J. B. Phillips’s translation of Romans 12:1 – 2 “Let God re-

mold your minds from within, so that you may prove in

practice that the plan of God for you is good, meets all his

demands and moves towards the goal of true maturity.”
