Stand Still and Smile

Another way I see, Stand Still and Smile is Stand Back and watch in Hope. This is a sweet place of faith as my older children have grown in independence, learning what it means to Depend on God...for themselves.

I've come to realize something; there comes a time when you see that it will be God and God alone who will part the sea of their hearts.

The tutor is no longer needed, and now they will learn by their mistakes (the training wheels have come off). In the early years I feared their harm, now I see the benefit of DEATH coming to self in their lives.

Mistakes will mean opportunity for maturity has come. My smile means I am resting in hope in what the Father will do in their lives. It is now time for them to walk down this road, without me (never without Him)

I’m walking too, learning not to look back, but to walk forward in hope.

He that lives in hope dances without music.” ~George Hebert

The law works fear and wrath; grace works hope and mercy.” ~Martin Luther

As the tree is fertilized by its own broken branches and fallen leaves, and grows out of its own decay, so men and nations are bettered and improved by trial, and refined out of broken hopes and blighted expectations.”~Frederick W. Roberts

"Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey toward it, cast the shadow of our burden behind us."~Samuel Smiles
